The Jeep 55 Second Challenge is a pure test of speed over 955 metres.
The barriers are positioned in the 1000 metre chute and the challenge will be to see which horse can break the 55 second mark across the City Jeep Night Racing Season.
On each of the night meetings in season 2015/16, The Valley will stage a Jeep 55 Second Challenge heat, with each heat carrying minimum prize money of $55,000.
The winning trainer of the fastest horse will take home a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee valued at $70,000, which will be awarded after the last heat on Friday 24 March.
In the 2014/15 season, trainer Brent Stanley led the Jeep 55 Second Challenge since December with the outstanding time of 55.08 seconds set by Beach Front over the 955 metres.
We thank Jeep for their continued support of racing at The Valley.
