The Moonee Valley Racecourse is now closed as work begins on the redevelopment that will deliver The Valley of Tomorrow. During this period, race meetings will be transferred to Southside Racing, Geelong Race Club, and the Melbourne Racing Club throughout the 2025/26 season, while the 2026 Ladbrokes Cox Plate will be held at Flemington Racecourse. Although the racecourse itself is closed, all Moonee Valley Racing Club venues remain fully operational. Racing at The Valley is scheduled to return for the 2027/28 season.
